Gambling, including online and land-based sports betting and horse-race (pari-mutuel) betting, is legal and regulated in Cameroon under Law n°2015/012 and Decree n°2019/2300/PM, with operators requiring government authorization and local incorporation. Oversight sits with the Gaming Regulatory Agency under the Minister in charge of gaming. The minimum age is 18.

Sports betting (online and retail) is a regulated vertical under Law n°2015/012 (16 July 2015) and Decree n°2019/2300/PM (18 July 2019): operators must be locally incorporated, maintain a .cm domain, post a bank guarantee for online licences (online licences run 5 years, land-based 10 years), and obtain authorization from the Minister in charge of gaming.

Well-known operators (1xBet, Premier Bet, Betwinner) market to Cameroonian players; ~8 operators held active licences as of mid-2026. Horse-race betting is regulated and offered via PMUC (Pari Mutuel Urbain Cameroun), linked to PMU France, under the same framework. The key 2025 change: since 30 January 2025 all online gambling payments must be processed exclusively through the InTouch aggregator, centralizing transaction monitoring.

Prediction markets have no verifiable Cameroonian legal status (left null). The minimum betting age is 18.

No operator on this site has been confirmed on the Cameroon regulator's register for online sports betting.

Support in Cameroon

Betting is legal and regulated in Cameroon (Law No. 2015/012), overseen by the Ministry of Territorial Administration. There is no national gambling helpline and no government self-exclusion register; responsible-gambling tools (deposit limits, account self-exclusion) exist only at the operator level, so check your account settings or ask the operator. Cameroon has no dedicated public mental-health crisis hotline, so for confidential help speak to a doctor or local health facility.
