Who Runs BetMGM

BetMGM is not owned by one company. MGM Resorts International states in its 2025 annual report that it shares control of the BetMGM North America venture with its venture partner Entain plc, and that all major operating, investing and financial activities require the consent of both members. What a Joint Venture Means for a Customer

One thing follows from that structure, and MGM says it plainly: neither partner can act without the other, and MGM lists disagreement between them among its own risks — "disagreements between us and entain could arise in the future, which could disrupt the venture". For a customer that cuts both ways. A venture two large companies must both agree on is unlikely to disappear overnight, and it is also slower to change than a brand with one owner. Entain is the same group that runs Ladbrokes, Coral and bwin in Britain, so a reader comparing BetMGM with those brands is not comparing wholly independent operations.
