Licence

In the US, BetRivers is licensed state by state, often through a partner casino. The regulator lists below do not give one licence number for the brand. Examples:

• Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (list updated 20 December 2024): Rush Street Interactive PA, LLC operates for two Rivers casinos. The BetRivers online sportsbook went live through Holdings Acquisition Co., LP d/b/a Rivers Casino Pittsburgh on 27 June 2019. PlaySugarHouse went live through SugarHouse HSP Gaming, LP d/b/a Rivers Casino Philadelphia on 31 May 2019 (PGCB list, read 5 November 2026).
• Ohio Casino Control Commission (list updated 23 December 2024): RSI OH, LLC (BetRivers) is an active mobile management services provider for Dayton Real Estate Ventures, LLC (Hollywood Gaming Dayton Raceway), submitted in July 2022 (OCCC list, read 5 November 2026).

On 5 November 2026 the US App Store listing for the BetRivers app, published by Rush Street Interactive LLC, said players must be 21+ and present in Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia or West Virginia.

Ontario: iGaming Ontario's list (accurate as of 1 September 2026) includes BetRivers at betrivers.ca for casino and sports betting. Its operator list names Rush Street Interactive Canada, ULC (iGO list, read 5 November 2026). The Ontario site shows the iGaming Ontario logo in its footer.

Alberta: the AGLC list of gaming registrants (read 1 November 2026) shows Rush Street Interactive Canada ULC registered as an iGaming operator for BetRivers.ca, with the registration expiring on 13 July 2027.

Who Runs BetRivers

BetRivers belongs to Rush Street Interactive, Inc. (NYSE: RSI), which says it has grown since 2012. Its brands are BetRivers, PlaySugarHouse and RushBet. The Pennsylvania site names Rush Street Interactive PA, LLC (licence 110298), with an address of record at 1001 N. Delaware Avenue, Philadelphia. The Rivers and BetRivers marks belong to Rivers IP Holdings, L.L.C. The Canadian app is credited to Rush Street Interactive Canada, ULC.

In a release dated 13 July 2026, RSI said BetRivers had launched in Alberta that day at ab.betrivers.ca, with casino and sportsbook. The release listed RSI's markets as 15 US states, Ontario, Alberta, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

What You Can Bet On

The US app listing describes props and parlays on the NFL, NBA, NHL, PGA, soccer and more. It names football, basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, hockey and motorsports. The Canadian listing adds MMA/UFC and boxing. The Ohio site mentions in-game live betting, live sports streams, daily boosted odds and parlays of the day.

The app listing also describes an online casino with slots, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, video poker and live dealer games. The loyalty programme is called iRush Rewards. The site advertises a welcome offer.

How to Bet

Bets are placed on state sites such as pa.betrivers.com and oh.betrivers.com, or in the BetRivers: Casino & Sportsbook app for iOS. Ontario players use on.betrivers.ca or the BetRivers Casino Sportsbook ON app, which also serves Alberta. The Pennsylvania terms say the service is offered on behalf of Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh.

Who Can Open an Account

In the US you must be 21 or older and physically in a state where BetRivers operates to bet. The Ohio and Pennsylvania sites say you may register from any US state. In Ontario the minimum age is 19 and you must be in the province. The Canadian app listing gives 18 as the Alberta minimum.

Ontario registration asks for your name, date of birth, address, citizenship and phone number, and whether you are a politically exposed person. The sites ask for an email PIN at each login.

Payments

The Canadian app listing names Interac and PayPal. The US app listing does not name methods. It says over 75% of withdrawals are approved instantly; that is BetRivers' own claim.

Responsible Gambling

Rush Street Interactive lists deposit, spending, wager and time limits. It also offers cool-down breaks, which cannot be shortened once set, and self-exclusion through customer service, the app or the website. Ohio promotions exclude people enrolled in Time Out Ohio.

Helplines in the US app listing: 1-800-GAMBLER in most states, 1-800-NEXT-STEP (Arizona), 888-850-8888 (Delaware), 1-800-BETS-OFF (Iowa) and 877-8-HOPENY (New York). The Ontario site names ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600) and shows the BetGuard logo. The Canadian listing names 211 Alberta.
