Unibet Sports Betting Review

Unibet specializes in sports betting and this is evidenced by a wide variety of sports ranging from the mainstream to the obscure. The front page of the sportsbook presents a list of about 35 sports along the left side of the screen. Choosing any individual sport will take users to a list of all open markets within that sport.

Customers may select one of the larger sports (such as football) to drill down into specific leagues and a list of in-play events, upcoming events and popular matches. On an average day, it is not uncommon to find upwards of 15,000 football wagers to choose from plus thousands of options for other sports.

Selecting an individual match will bring up a full list of open markets for that event. Some of the larger matches may provide as many as 250 unique wagers that run the gamut from standard bets on who will win and point totals to half time scores, player cards, player props, corners, scorecasts, wagers on other stats and more.

Unibet Sportsbook places such an emphasis on football that other sports can feel neglected by comparison. Still, customers will find several thousand wagers for other sports on a typical day.

Unibet has some of the best odds online when it comes to football while other sports can be considered about average in terms of value that can be found.

Unibet In-Play Betting

Both in-play betting and live video streaming are supported by Unibet. The number of in-play options available each day is above average. A quick look at the calendar will usually show more than a hundred in-play events open for wagering on any single day.

Unibet TV offers live video streams for sports and horse races around the world. It is not uncommon to find more 30 or more matches per day streamed live at Unibet.com.

One area in which Unibet stands above the competition is in the quality of matches streamed live. Unibet provides live video for standard sports such as football, tennis and golf, but also streams high-profile games in the USA for baseball and football (MLS).

Unibet customers can watch live sports streams for free if they have an account balance or have placed a wager within the last 24 hours. Horse racing video is unlocked for customers who place a minimum bet of £1 (or currency equivalent) on a race on that card.

For sports that are not covered with live streams, Unibet provides live scoring data on all other in-play betting events. This includes virtual stat displays that depict the field or court with real-time updates showing where the action is, who’s on offense and so on.

Unibet.com offers an extensive stats database that covers all the major teams and sports of the world. This feature serves as a handy quick reference guide with customers able to see recent results and form, compare teams head-to-head and view stats showing how any two teams’ last meeting went.

Unibet Horse Racing Betting

Unibet offers a horse and greyhound betting as a part of its larger sports betting platform. The racebook here is extensive in its coverage of tracks from around the world but navigation is still a bit clumsy, particularly when looking for specific tracks.

Selecting “racing” from the main navigation menu will bring up a quick picture of all upcoming races. This area offers a quick view of races that will be starting soon along with options to quickly place bets on highlighted races without having to navigate any further.

horses and jockeys, recent form information and view a short preview of the
race.

Unibet horse racing customers can choose between taking the SP and price, with a best odds guarantee offered on all UK and Irish horse races. This means if customers take the price and the horse goes off at a higher SP, they will be paid at the higher price. Other types of wagers such as forecasts, tricasts and each-way bets are also available.

The horse racing platform is fairly standard overall, but one thing that does stand out is Unibet frequently offers horse racing specials not often seen elsewhere. In some races, special markets such as the winning distance, winning jockey and so on are offered to provide a little variety that isn’t often offered by other online bookmakers.

Unibet Live Horse Racing Video

Races listed in the main betting area with a monitor icon offer live streaming video for customers who place a wager on that race. Unibet streams are fast and include live commentary straight from the track. Major races such as the Grand National and Kentucky Derby are included among the live viewing options.

Unibet Greyhound Betting

Greyhound betting at Unibet is organized in a similar manner to horse racing. Choosing “greyhounds” from the sports menu brings up a list of the day’s races, and from there you can select any individual race to pick winners or to place forecasts and tricasts. The biggest difference between horse and dog racing at Unibet is they do not offer live racing video for greyhound races.

Unibet Racebook Navigation

Navigation is the area in which Unibet’s horse racing platform has the most room for improvement. The front racing page is fine for betting on the day’s biggest races, but it can tough to find ante-post wagers for major events or for looking up specific tracks.

Unibet Lottery Betting

The Lottery Betting tab at Unibet offers a range of lottery-style products, with the foremost of those being options to wager on the outcomes of official lotteries. Unibet matches or exceeds all jackpots offered by the official lotteries covered, providing an experience similar to playing the lottery.
