Interwetten was founded in September 1990 in Vienna, Austria, and was among the first companies to offer sports betting online in 1997. It operates under the owner-managed Interwetten Group, whose consumer platform is run by Interwetten Gaming Ltd in Malta. The product is sportsbook-led, covering football, tennis, basketball, ice hockey and over 35 sports with pre-match and live betting, alongside an online casino, live casino, virtual sports and skill games, and it holds licences from the Malta Gaming Authority and national regulators including Germany’s GGL, Spain’s DGOJ, Sweden’s SGA and Greece’s Hellenic Gaming Commission.
